Woman of the House - It has come to refer to a landlady who takes in students who wish to learn Irish in a family setting or more importantly an unsung hero of the Irish revival. Mamaí's are also known as the Bean an Tí of their homes.
During their three week stay in the Gaeltacht, the Bean an Tí is their surrogate mother and is usually a total legend. Our tees are an ode to all the badass Bean an Tí's out there!
